ABOUT THE ARTIST

Emily is an Oregon-based creative who works from her home studio. She is happiest when surrounded by plants— whether it’s hiking through the beautiful old growth trees near her home, walking through botanical gardens, or tending to her collection of plant babies indoors.

As a life long lover and maker of art, Emily finds deep joy in creating weavings, mixed media works on canvas, capturing tiny details on camera, and experimenting in her sketchbook. It’s especially freeing for her to move between all kinds of media to capture moments and feelings.

Through all of these mediums you will find Emily’s work ingrained in connecting to the earth through color and texture. Materials are intentionally sourced to be as gentle on our planet as possible.

The name Euca Design is rooted in inspiration from eucalyptus trees, which has familial symbolism on both maternal and paternal sides of her family.

Three things you will always be able to find in the studio: foraged driftwood, rocks and crystals, and vintage baskets.
