The inquiry form is where we begin! This is where you can explore some general ideas as well as specify details that are important to you. Things like size, color palette, materials you gravitate towards, and the future location of where the artwork will live are all helpful pieces of information for me to know upfront. If you have any specific moods or emotions you want to associate with your custom piece, let me know! Adding these details make the art piece come alive in such a unique way.

Once you’ve submitted your inquiry form, I will be in touch in 2-3 business days. In the meantime, you are welcome to send me additional photos of the space or even a mood board to give me an idea of the general vibe you’d like to see in the final art piece! I love to go through these details and incorporate them in a personal way in the final piece. If you choose to, we can even make a collaborative Pinterest board or jump on a video call to make sure your vision is clear.

After we’ve connected via email or video chat, I will start to pull fibers and materials together. I use only natural fibers such as silk, wool, and cotton. I also intentionally include recycled fibers in all of my work. The textile industry is notorious for being one of the biggest contributors to pollution; I want my work to support healthy practices for the earth, and I do so by choosing my materials carefully.

If you have any articles of clothing or special textiles, I would be happy to consider how I can work them into the piece! I like to keep the communication open during this part of the process. Final color story and material selection will be sent to you for approval before beginning work on the piece.

The part you’ve been waiting for: I can start working on your piece! Once we’ve agreed upon colors, materials, and budget— and feel grounded in the same vision for the work— a deposit of 50% of the quote is due. I will use your filled out inquiry form, color story discussion, and our mood board to create your original piece of work. I then begin working on your piece and send periodic email updates.

Current timelines for completed work are estimated between 8-12 weeks, not including shipping time.

We made it to the final steps! I will send a picture of the piece for your final approval before packaging it for shipping. I will also send you the most up-to-date measurements. After everything looks good to you, I will prepare your custom piece for shipping! The remaining balance will be due before shipment. (Payment plans are available on my website or arranged via emailed PayPal invoices.)
