Hills and Valleys | Mixed Media Painting on Canvas
Quiet Mind: a fine art collection exploring sensory experiences and creating soft spaces for ourselves
Hills and Valleys is an abstract, mixed media piece created using a variety of recycled materials. It explores some of the natural hills and valleys that we come across in our year. each one may present different challenges: emotional, physical, spiritual, creative, mental…. the list can go on. Some of the uphill moments have felt brutal this year. Like we would never get to the top to the view, like it just kept getting steeper and steeper. I cling to the reminder that we can only take one step at a time. eventually, the view will be just over the hill— the light is coming.
Choice of hardware (to be installed upon collection) includes a sawtooth hanger or D-ring
Materials: recycled cotton cord, natural pigments, watercolor, acrylic paint, sand, plaster
Handmade poplar frame
measurements: 16.5" x 20.5"
