CONIFER HISTORY:
Conifers are some of the most ancient organisms still on the earth today. The cones they drop are powerful symbols throughout global history. Some of the themes that I love include regeneration, nurture, and enlightenment. They are intuitive enough to know how to regulate the amount of light that they need and open when it’s warm, and close when it’s cold. Cones represent accessing the light within ourselves and trusting our intuition. They fully open when they’re ready to release their seeds after months of nurturing and waiting. This signals all the potential that can come from new beginnings— by waiting, they plant entire forests of trees over time, generation by generation.
